Florida beaches are constantly packed year-round with tourists and residents, enjoying the warm tropical conditions. Each year, Florida beaches, are ranked in the top beaches in the United States. In fact, there is always a Florida beach in the top ten of Dr. Beach’s America’s Best Beach list every year. There is no other place that compares to our beaches; that has over 1,100 miles of soft sand and crystal clear blue waters. In addition, Florida has over 8,460 miles of coastline, running up and down the state, which is only second to Alaska.
The beaches across the state are on average warmer than most locations across the United States. There are plenty of locations to choose from for surfing, especially along the Atlantic Ocean side as the waves are always brewing along the coastline. In addition, one thing that does separate us from the rest of the beach locations is our sand. The sand consistency ranges from a hard pack to fine texture, which is ideal for playing volleyball, taking a stroll along the coastlines, or driving your vehicle onto the beach. Here, are few beaches that are a must see when visiting the state.
Clearwater Beach
Clearwater beach seems to be always ranked in the top ten of many beach reviews. There is a good reason why, as Clearwater offers every kind of water sport or beach activity available. In addition, there are festivals and event occurring year-round along the beach. They have rental boats for fishing, sailing, or even dolphin watching. Another cornerstone icon for the Clearwater beach is Pier 60, where you can watch a beautiful sunset or enjoy the street performers and musicians.
Naples Beach
Naples beaches are another one of the popular destinations by tourists as they are recognized for their soft, white, sandy beaches. The beaches here feature a 1,000-foot long pier where you can enjoy license free fishing or just stand on the pier to listen to the ocean waves. Heading up toward the panhandle of Florida, there are several well known beaches, frequented by college students. Pensacola Beach is one of the beaches, which features miles of pure white sand and sand dunes. This is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for some peace and quiet because there are plenty of spots to be secluded from the public.
Miami Beach
Finally, one of the hottest spots in the United States, where there is a festival or event occurring every single day, is Miami Beach. Whatever you are in the mood for, you will find it in Miami Beach. There are numerous dance clubs, restaurants, shopping, water sport rentals, and live entertainers.
I hope you can see that there is no better place in the world, then the beaches of Florida. There are so many miles of beaches that you are never more than 60 miles away from a beach.
