The Republic of India is situated in the South of Asia. It has a population of over 1.2 billion people and it is the seventh largest country in Asia. It is known to be Democratic in the world. With the Indian Ocean on the South, the Arabian Sea to the South west, Burma and Bangladesh in the East and Bay of Bengal in the South East, India has more than enough travel historical destination to offer.

The Taj Mahal:

Taj Mahal is a tomb that preserves Mumtaz Mahal body, the wife to Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.It gloriously looms from the banks of the Yamuna River. It is so captivating because of the way its colour appears to be changing with the light of the day. It is made of marble and took 22 years to be completed. This was a phenomenal show of love to her and beauty.

This the proof that the renowned Kama Sutra originated in India. Over 20 temples are devoted to sexuality and sex. They are best known for their sculptures and carvings that are erotic. They are a celebration of life, worship, and love. They make one understand the Tantric practices and Hindu Faith.

In the Indian Empires history, Hampi was the last capital of Vijayanagar.It has a few eye-catching ruins that rear up the landscape intermingling with the boulders. They date back to the 14th century, and have over 500 monuments stretching for just 25 kilometers. That are a sight to see.

Ajanta and Ellora Caves:

34 caves in Ellora and 29 caves at Ajanta dating back to 6th and 11th centuries AD and 2nd century BC, also 6th century AD consecutively, amazing carved into hillside rock stand in the middle of nowhere. Ellora caves have an extra ordinary architecture while the Ajanta caves have astoningshly paintings and sculpture. They were all crafted using a chisel and hammer.

Jantar Mantra:

It is situated in Delhi. Has 13 architectural astronomy instruments built by Maharaja Jai Singh 2 of Jaipur in 1720 onwards. Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah had appointed him to revise the astronomical tables and calendars.

India Gate:

The pride of Indians “India Gate” is situated near Rajpath in central Delhi. It is previously known as All India War Memorial. The Amar Jawan Jyoti-an eternal flame was lit under its arch to honor the gallant soldiers who died battling for the country. During nightfall it is dramatically floodlit while the nearby fountains add up to the spectacular view.

Old Fort:

Founded by the second Mughal emperor, Humayun in the year 1533 and was completed five years afterwards, Purana Qila is the inner citadel of the Dina-panah city. It grew to be a sixth city of Delhi. It was later called Shergarh by Sher Shah when he defeated Humayun in 1540.
