Located in South Germany, near the border of Austria – you’ll find plenty to do in the gorgeous city of Munich. For wonderful weather and the opportunity to enjoy your trip to the full effect – book your city break for summer time when the city streets will be basked in sunshine and when you can enjoy all the outside activities alongside the indoor ones too.

So assuming you’ve got on your flight OK, and you’ve checked into your hotel, you’ll want to get out and explore this amazing city! There’s plenty to see and do here so you’ll want to get started as soon as possible – so as not to waste a single second!

-          Nymphenburg Palace is a splendid place to while away a summer’s afternoon. The palace is huge and you’ll get to explore both the inside and outside – so get ready! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before and it’s almost like a set form a Hollywood movie. The gardens in the palace grounds are breath-taking too – so bring your camera.

-          Allianz Arena is a definite must-see for any football fan out there! Of course, the Germans are famous for their great football skills – so if you love the beautiful game then you’ll want to see this temple for football fans. If you can only visit during the day-time that’s great – but to fully enjoy this amazing stadium you’ll want to visit once the sun has gone down as the stadium lights up and creates a phenomenal view for all to enjoy.

stock photo 20250949 allianz arena in munich A Tourist’s Guide to Visiting Munich

-          Englischer Garten is a wonderful place in the city to relax and enjoy the sunshine (if the weather is good). These amazingly manicured gardens are beyond compare and you’ll adore them if you’ve ever been a gardening fan or a fan of beautiful surroundings. The gardens are similar to that you’d find in a traditional English manor house.

-          If you’re a history student you may want to learn about the country’s history, so the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial might be somewhere you want to visit. It is extremely sombre and very saddening – but it is part of the history – so many might find it a crucial thing to see and witness before leaving.

-          Germany has always been famous for the beer and the drinking culture – so you’d be foolish to miss a visit to Hofbräuhaus. It is famous for being an all year round drinking festival – so if you’re after a little bit of laughter and a lot of beer – this is indeed the place you’ll want to visit.

-          The Concert Hall, named Carl-orff-Saal has been critically acclaimed and praised for it’s performances and shows. It is one of Germany’s most iconic concert halls and one of the most culturally important too. There are also many restaurants and bars around the concert hall too – meaning you can make a whole day out of your visit and really treat yourself too. For evening performances you’ll want to dress up too – so use it as an excuse to put on your best clothes for the night!

Hawaii. Just say the word and it conjures up images of tropical paradise, crystal-clear water, fruit-flavored drinks and hula dancers with leis.

Hawaii offers some of the best beaches, waves, destinations and food in the world. With temperatures between 65 and 98 degrees for most of the year, it is hard to come up with too many good reasons not to visit.

Throw in the fact that Hawaii boasts some of the most amazing resorts in the world and it gets even harder to stay away.

If you are planning a trip, here are five of the most amazing Hawaii resorts around. And if you are not planning a trip, you probably will after reading...

Four Seasons Resort Lana'i

There's a reason this resort was voted one of Travel+Leisure readers' Best Beach Hotels. Actually, there are a lot of reasons.

The resort is situated just above Hulop'e Beach, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You are surrounded by exotic plants, roaming wildlife, stunning waterfalls, ponds full of Koi and beautiful, manicured gardens.

Rooms are spacious and each one comes with gorgeous furniture and top of the line amenities. Relax in your spacious bathtub or look out on your waterfront or garden view from your private balcony.

Looking for something to do? There's no shortage of activities from relaxing on the beach to mountain biking, horseback riding, scuba diving and sailing. Golfers will be thrilled to discover the Jack Nicklaus-designed Challenge at Manele course while tennis players have plenty of courts to volley and serve.

Of course, there are some truly delicious spa treatments available as well. Massages, facials and special services such as the pineapple citrus polish will leave you skin and your soul feeling refreshed.

The Ritz Carlton Kapalua

If you're looking for exclusivity and luxury, you can't do much better than this Ritz Carlton. Surrounded by lush hills and the Pacific Ocean, this resort is the ultimate escape.

Recently redesigned rooms include giant TVs, marble bathrooms and bathtubs, spacious balconies and true Hawaiian design.

You know that the Spa offers relaxing treatments of all kinds but the opportunity to relax in a volcanic stone grotto whirlpool or an outdoor couples cabana takes things to the next level.

Golfers will find the 36 hole championship golf course challenging. Feel free to follow up your game with a dip in the 10,000 square foot pool or hop down to D.T. Fleming Beach for swimming, surfing and much more.

Dine with a view of the ocean at The Banyan Tree or enjoy Hawaii's freshest fish at Kai Sushi before retiring to the Alaloa Lounge for a drink and nightly entertainment.

Turtle Bay Resort

On Oahu's North Shore, Turtle Bay is already one of the most breathtaking spots in the world. Add this luxury beach resort into the mix and you'd be hard-pressed to find a better holiday location anywhere.

Every single room at Turtle Bay gets an ocean view and that includes the beach cottages, villas, guest rooms and suites.

You'll not want for things to do here. Their golf course is recognized for its beauty and play, they offer the chance for guests to go horseback riding or hiking or even take a Segway tour, pick up a board and go surfing (or get lessons), or just relax in one of their two gorgeous pools.

The resort is home to Surfer, The Bar, where guests can interact with professional surfers while eating sumptuous food and yummy drinks.

The Grand Wailea

Best Resort Accommodations, Best Resort Restaurant, Best Resort Spa... The Grand Wailea keeps racking up the accolades and awards from local readers and media and it's understandable why. Surrounded by Mt. Haleakala on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, this Polynesian-themed resort is a playground for both adults and children.

Between the lazy river, the water elevator and a 2,000 foot multi-level pool with waterslides, you can move in any direction in the resort via cool, blue water. Or you can just stay where you are and relax in it as well.

Spa Grande offers unique water therapies as well as aromatic baths to soothe your body and soul.

There's so much to appreciate it's hard to list it all. From the world-class art collection to the luxurious gardens to the gourmet restaurants to the three championship golf courses, this resort has every human sense covered for your retreat.

Halekulani

Near Waikiki, this tropical resort makes you feel as though you're miles away from anyone.

Some consider their rooms to be among the best in Hawaii. They feature amazing views, sperate tubs and showers and the finest amenities.

Dine at the La Mer for a meal worthy of the restaurants' AAA Five Diamond rating. Their Neoclassic French cuisine features local ingredients to make a sumptuous mix.

You can relax at House Without A Key, where you'll find cocktails, light meals and great Hawaiian entertainment in this classic indoor/outdoor area.

10 Must See Places in the World

10 Must See Places in the World

Whenever I think about travelling the world, there are different places I would have in mind. However, I always run out of options since the places I want to visit are only the usual that we have already seen through other sources.

First of all, for one to enjoy the travel it is wise to choose the best transportation and that is why I would advise that you think about coach hire. In this article, I have outlined some of the best places in the world that I researched and found interesting... and which you should not miss.

1. The Amazon

if by chance you visit Brazil, Venezuela, Peru or even Colombia that is something you should not ignore. This is the largest rainforest in the world and by visit it, you can come across numberless creatures which are rare and unique.

2. Iceland

This place has the most unique landscape one can ever find. The waterfalls are partially frozen and its sunset and sunrise is something to look forward to. And most surprisingly, there is a population here of outgoing members despite the chill.

3. The Antelope Canyon

This is another canyon located in Arizona that I would not want to miss the sight of. Created from the eroding effect of rivers and streams, the sight of the remaining sandstone structure is something to be amazed about. Why not take a walk and see if you can finally come to an end?

5. Santorini Island

I always close my eyes and imagine this spectacular view. This island located off the coast of Greece was the site of an enormous volcanic eruption many years ago. This led to the formation of the beautiful view and also the creation of a famous historical story "The Legend of Atlantis".

6. The Moraine Lake

At times, a lake can turn out to be something else as in the case of the Moraine Lake. It is found in Alberta, Canada. This is a unique lake as when full, the light rocks from nearby mountains refract to create neon. This shade of blue is something to be mesmerized about mostly because it is created by Mother Nature herself.

7. Pyramids of Giza
This is the only remaining monument of the seven Ancient Wonders of the World. These ancient features are more than 4500 years old, so I definitely have no reason denying myself the opportunity of seeing them.

8. Bora Bora
This is by far one the most beautiful Islands in the world. It is located in French Polynesia, South Pacific. This is the best to relax as the waters are crystal clear and there are luxury accommodations.

9. Great Barrier Reef

This is a place I would not miss for anything. I love diving and fishing. The reef offers the best opportunity to do all these and other water related activities.

Bora Bora

10. Uluru

I first recognized this feature from The Adventures Down Under. It is located in the middle of the Australian Outback. This is an amazing feature as it measures 9.4 kilometres round and approximately 340 above surface. What is even more astonishing is the number of kilometres lying below the surface.

11. Taj Mahal

Built in 1653, this Indian love monument is still as immaculate as it was when it was built. It has a garden along the classical Persian lines that gives it a spectacular look.

Bordeaux of France

Bordeaux

stock photo 15619121 wine cellar Bordeaux of France

When you hear the name Bordeaux, the first thing that comes to your mind is wine. Bordeaux is known all over the world for its excellent wine. However, there is more to the city than just the wine. The city is not traditionally famous and its reputation has grown only in this century. Since the city is growing and developing all the time, you can expect something new every time you visit the city. Another interesting feature of this city is that it is very flat. So, you can get a view of the whole city if you climb up to the top floors of any high rise buildings.

The Culture

Bordeaux is a very relaxed city in terms of political beliefs, religion, language and even sexual orientation. This is a welcome change from the other French cities, where many are traditionalists. This is probably because Bordeaux is a modern city in more ways than one. Since the city was under the English rule for a long time, you can expect some English flavor in the city’s culture. The city is considered as a competitor to Paris for the spot of the most popular city in France. The ‘Parisiens’ and ‘Bordelais’, who are people of Paris and Bordeaux respectively, take this very seriously. So, never get into an argument on this topic with any of the local people.

Traveling

Bordeaux is very well connected through both land and air. There are regular flights from all the major cities. Even if you don’t have a direct flight, you can take any of the connecting flights, which will not cost you much. The airport is also well connected to the other parts of the city through taxis and buses. It is however advisable that you make a prior booking with a taxi company to ensure that there are no hiccups on that front.

Bordeaux, like other European cities, is easily accessible by trains. There are trains coming in twice or thrice every hour from different locations. You can plan the route you take according to your convenience.

All the major attractions of the city are concentrated around the city center. So, you will not have much trouble traversing between them. You can either walk or rent out bicycles for this leg of your journey.

Food

Like any other French city, the food in Bordeaux is spectacular. There is a variety of cuisines which you can enjoy along with the traditional French cuisine, which is at the heart of the food culture in this city. There are many cafes which cater food that appeals to all palettes. Another important reason why Bordeaux is famous for its food is because of the wine that accompanies it.

Wine

Bordeaux produces probably the best wine in the world. On an average, more than 700 million bottles of wine, ranging from table wine to a few of the most prestigious and expensive wines in the world. If you are a wine connoisseur, Bordeaux is your Mecca.

Located in the capital of Italy, Rome, the Colosseum was built between 70 and 80 AD and can seat around 50,000 spectators. The structure was built by the Flavian dynasty emperors and was originally known as Amphitheatrum Flavium. Before it was closed temporarily in the medieval era, the Colosseum was used for public spectacles like gladiatorial contests, animal hunts, mock sea battles, re-enactments of mythological dramas and famous battles. The Eiffel Tower, Paris

An engineering marvel constructed in 1889, the Eiffel Tower is a must see when in Europe. The tower, which stands 1,063 ft tall, is located in Paris, France, and held the record for the tallest man-made structure in the world for 41 years, till the Chrysler Building in New York surpassed it in 1930.The top of the tower, which is one of the most romantic places in Paris, gives you the best view of the city. The Big Ben and London Eye, London

When in London, you cannot miss a trip on the London Eye, nor can you ignore the great clock, the Big Ben.
